He began learning music and playing the piano at the age of 14 and He started composing songs at the age of 18
He has been teaching Classical piano to students in Iran for about 10 years In the largest and most prestigious music schools in the country . Hamid Merati has received several awards for his teaching style.
He is the composer of the film (The Stranger) directed By Amin Shahrbanoo in USA
People know Hamid Merati as a pianist and composer
